Martina Mrázová je kurátorka, historička umění a odborná konzultantka, jejíž praxe je založena na dialogu mezi současnou uměleckou tvorbou a filozofickým myšlením. Ve svých projektech se pohybuje na pomezí umění druhé poloviny 20. století a aktuálního umění, které nahlíží v širších společenských a teoretických souvislostech.
Její kurátorský výzkum se soustředí především na otázky identity, tělesnosti a environmentální citlivosti, stejně jako na postkonceptuální a intermediální strategie, které narušují a rozšiřují tradiční hranice uměleckých médií. Umění chápe jako prostor kritické reflexe, v němž se materialita, forma a koncept protínají s osobní zkušeností i kulturní pamětí.
Jako kurátorka sochařských výstav Bastion Sculpture v Praze a festivalu Dny otevřených ateliérů na jižní Moravě rozvíjí výstavní projekty, které podporují dialog mezi umělci, institucemi a různorodým publikem. Spolupracuje s řadou soukromých i veřejných galerií (The Chemistry Gallery, Trafo Gallery, Galerie U Betlémské kaple, SPOT Gallery, Etcetera Art, Šmeral Art Factory, Galerie Pitevna, Muzeum města Brna či White & Weiss Gallery v Bratislavě).
Podílí se na koncepčním rozvoji soukromých uměleckých sbírek.
Od roku 2017 přednáší na Filozofické fakultě Masarykovy univerzity v Brně. Téměř 5 let přednášela i na Ústavu zahradní a krajinářské architektury Mendelovy univerzity v Brně. Její pedagogická činnost přirozeně prostupuje kurátorskou praxí, která spojuje analytickou preciznost se zvýšenou citlivostí k prostorovým a zkušenostním aspektům výstavního formátu.
Je autorkou řady odborných textů a výstavních katalogů, mimo jiné publikace Sochařské Brno 1989–2019.
Vystudovala dějiny umění, filozofii a management v kultuře na Masarykově univerzitě v Brně a absolvovala studijní stáž na University of Glasgow.
Martina Mrázová is a curator, art historian, and art advisor whose practice is grounded in a close dialogue between contemporary artistic production and philosophical inquiry. Her work spans the art of the second half of the twentieth century and current artistic practices, which she approaches through broader social and theoretical frameworks.
Her curatorial research is particularly focused on questions of identity, corporeality, and environmental sensitivity, as well as on post-conceptual and intermedia strategies that challenge and expand the conventional boundaries of artistic media. She is interested in art as a space of critical reflection — a field in which materiality, form, and concept intersect with lived experience and cultural memory.
As a curator of Bastion Sculpture in Prague and the Open Studios Festival in South Moravia, she develops exhibition projects that foster dialogue between artists, institutions, and diverse publics. She collaborates with both private and public galleries (The Chemistry Gallery, Trafo Gallery, Galerie U Betlémské kaple, SPOT Gallery, Etcetera Art, Šmeral Art Factory, Galerie Pitevna, Muzeum města Brna či White & Weiss Gallery v Bratislavě).
She contributes to the conceptual development of private art collections.
Since 2017, she has been lecturing at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University in Brno. For nearly five years, she also taught at the Institute of Garden and Landscape Architecture at Mendel University in Brno. Her academic engagement informs her curatorial work, which combines analytical precision with sensitivity to the spatial and experiential dimensions of exhibition-making.
She is the author of numerous scholarly texts and exhibition catalogues, including the publication Sculptural Brno 1989–2019.
She studied Art History, Philosophy, and Cultural Management at Masaryk University in Brno and completed a study placement at the University of Glasgow.
