Výstava Shelter na Bastionu U Božích muk vychází z prostorového paradoxu někdejšího opevnění: jeho hradby prostor vymezují, nad jejich linií se však otevírá pohled na město, krajinu a horizont. Díla dvaadvaceti umělců a umělkyň napětí této situace dále rozvíjejí – vytvářejí opěrné body, hranice, schránky či průhledy a proměňují způsob, jakým prostor obýváme a vztahujeme se k němu. Útočiště se neukazuje jako pevně vymezené bezpečné místo, ale jako křehký a proměnlivý vztah mezi tělem, druhými, místem a prostředím, které společně obýváme.
Shelter navazuje na předchozí výstavní projekt Oči kůže a rozšiřuje okruh zastoupených škol. Vedle AVU a UMPRUM v Praze jsou zastoupeny také FaVU VUT v Brně, Fakulta umění Ostravské univerzity a Fakulta designu a umění Ladislava Sutnara ZČU v Plzni.

The exhibition Shelter at Bastion U Božích muk takes as its point of departure the spatial paradox of a former fortification: its walls define and enclose the space, while above their line the view opens out onto the city, the landscape, and the horizon. The works of twenty-two artists further develop the tension inherent in this situation, creating points of support, boundaries, enclosures, and openings, while transforming the ways in which we inhabit space and relate to it. Shelter thus emerges not as a clearly delimited place of safety, but as a fragile and shifting relationship between the body, others, place, and the environment we inhabit together.
Shelter follows on from the previous exhibition project The Eyes of the Skin and expands the range of participating art schools. Alongside the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, the exhibition also includes the Faculty of Fine Arts at Brno University of Technology, the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ostrava, and the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen.
